• CSC Scholarship Category A

You may go for this Category If you wish to apply through Chinese Embassy. 

• CSC Scholarship Category B

You may select this category B, if you apply Via University.  In this blog we will only deal with this category step by step. Since the nominating agency is HEC on behalf of Govt. of Pakistan for these Scholarships in the academic year 2021-2022.

• CSC Scholarship Category C

You can select Category C when you apply through other sources.

Since you have come to know the difference between the categories. let’s follow steps to apply online through category B

Submit Online Application On Three Portals

There are three portals which you need to follow in order to successfully submit online application for Xi’an Jiaotong University Scholarship.

1. CSC Portal
2. Xi’an Jiaotong University Portal
3. HEC Portal

Note: To make things clear and simple for new scholars we have used images & filled form with dummy variables.

• Fill a CSC Online Application form through CSC student login

that is visit www.campuschina.org or www.csc.edu.cn. Since you are a new user. It is important to create an account in order to fill the online form. Or if you already hold an account then simply sign and apply.

 

Once you have signed in.  You will see Instructions for Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (CGSIS). It is important to read the instructions very carefully to get an idea. Once you go through the instructions then start application by clicking “Application Online”

• Fill Input Personal Details

Now the main part of the application displays on your screen. You have to start your application by editing your personal details. you cannot move to other part of the application unless you complete your personal details. So click on the blue color “Edit Personal Details” button in order to run your application step by step and smoothly.

Alright, once you click the Edit personal Details. On the next page you will see and find separate categories of Personal Information, Education and Employment History and other Contacts under this category of Personal Details. Let’s fill the Personal Information with dummy variables.

Since you have provided your personal information before to move on to next step. It is mandatory to give your authentic email and Skype No. So that they may easily contact you and can reach you regarding application process if any. Now just verify the information you have provided is correct, if yes then save it.

The next page followed by personal information is about Education and Employment History. let’s fill it. After filling the Education and Employment History and other Contacts (if you have someone in the China just fill the box otherwise leave it empty and just save it).

• Fill Input Application Information via Category B

Now, the most important part of Xi’an Jiaotong University Scholarship is to put input application information and we have three categories in it. Category A, Category B, and Category C. Since we are applying through nominating agency which may be the Higher Education Commission of any country. Here we are considering the nominating agency  HEC on behalf of Govt. of Pakistan for these Scholarships in the academic year 2021-2022. So we will select category B.

Click on the “Type B Application” button. the next page  “Language Proficiency and Study Plan,” the most important part of the application process will display on your screen.

This part of the application requires Agency No. Though we are applying through nominating agency, HEC, on behalf of Govt. of Pakistan yet we have to provide the Agency No of the university which is 1098 and you can easily browse this Agency No. if you are not sure about it.

Unlikely, when we apply via nominating agency through category A.Then every country has their own Agency No. like HEC provides Agency No. 5861 when you apply through category A as nominating agency. However, if the scholar of any country wants to pursue his studies in China, he may only need to provide the agency no of his country which his nominating agency is providing him, except to it this whole procedure of applying online will hold true/same

• Upload Supporting Documents

When once everything is verified then just save it. The last part of the application is to upload the documents . However, if you failed to upload the required documents, it would lead to automatic rejection. You must carefully look out for possible documents if missing but if documents are available then you must upload clear, authentic and valid scan copy of each document required on the portal.

Xi’an Jiatong University’s Portal

Since you have submitted your online application at CSC portal. The next step is to submit another online application at Xi’an Jiatong University’s portal. This awarding university will also determine nominee’s application. They also need your record for their further clarification.

However, to make things clear we are using images as we did above during filling CSC application form. Likewise, we are also following steps in this online application to make it bit easy even for the first time applier.

• Sign up For Xi’an Jiatong University Scholarship through XJTU  login

Sign up and login at  http://isso.xjtu.edu.cn/recruit/login. Since you are a new user, it is important to create an account in order to fill the online form or if you already hold an account then simply sign and apply.

• Select your Preferred Program At Xi’an Jiaotong University

In this Step, you need to select your desired program where you want to pursue either your under graduation, masters or PhD for Xi’an Jiaotong University Scholarship.

• Read the Instructions

Read the instructions and Click Yes. This step is nothing but about meeting the requirements of uploading the ID photo. This is mandatory that your ID photo meet their requirements. However, if You have upload the photo and you have failed to meet either of their requirements then it may otherwise lead to automatic rejection of application. It is therefore recommended to go through their instructions regarding ID photo.

• Fill Input Personal Details 

This Step requires you to provide your personal information, contact information, educational experience and major choice and lastly study plan which is in fact the most important one. This study plan should be persuasive one. It is important to note that when you fill the information you must follow the instruction of the system and don’t forget to click save and next at each page in order to make sure that you have filled information correct.

When once you fill the personal information. It is time to upload the required documents. When you finish to upload documents there will be a pop up to remind you whether you want to “Apply or NO”. If you want to ensure that there is no mistake, it is suggested to select NO” when once you go through your application and if satisfied that they are no mistakes then Apply without hesitation. If you have ensured that there are no mistakes then simply click Apply.

As you Apply there will be a confirmation pop up. You must read it and once you have gone through then tick “I agree” and click “Apply”.

• Application Submitted Successfully at Xi’an Jiaotong University

This step is the end of the application which you have successfully submitted for Xi’an Jiaotong University Scholarship.. However, this step is the result of procedure which you followed accordingly otherwise this final step would not be possible. Needless to say, when an application number is generated.It means you have successfully submitted your application as given below in the image

Since we have filled form at CSC and XJTU’s portal. In order to submit online application at HEC portal as nominating agency. You need to follow following steps.

Your Application would be incomplete for Xi’an Jiaotong University Scholarship if you didn’t fill the form at HEC portal as nominating agency. you as a scholar fill form through your nominating agency for Xi’an Jiaotong University Scholarship.

HEC Portal As Nominating Agency

Those who lives in Pakistan will only use HEC portal as their nominating agency. While Those living in their particular country may use the own portal of their Higher Education Commission.

• Fill HEC Online Application form through HEC student portal.

Sign up and login at eportal.hec.gov.pk. Since you are a new user. It is important to create an account in order to fill the online form. Or if you already hold an account then simply sign and apply. When you sign in and apply. You may see following image.

• 

  Fill Input Personal Details and Set up Profile

In this step, you need to give your personal details & you are supposed to update your profile regarding your education, contact, employment history, if any & so on. In the end upload supporting documents. If you didn’t update and complete your profile it would  cause problem while applying for particular scholarship. Thus, you must  first  set up your profile and at least complete personal details, education, contact information and uploading required documents which is must. Therfore click on my profile and start to edit.

• Apply via Scholarship and Grants

Once you have edited your profile, now stage is setup to apply through scholarship and grants for learning opportunities abroad where you can not only apply for this scholarship, XJTU but also those scholarships which come under category of learning opportunities abroad like CSC, Azerbaijan Government Scholarship, Common Wealth Scholarship and many more.

These Scholarships are offered every year and are required to submit online application at HEC portal as nominating agency through this procedure. However, if you want to avail this opportunity than simply set up the reminder for theses scholarships. Below image tells how to apply via scholarships and grants.

• Application Details

When you open application form  then you need to fill up required field according to your preference and click next which will take you to the next page of “Application details”  and this application details also require you to fill the required field

Research Proposal and statement of Purpose play an important role in the scholarship. The latter is important for those who want to pursue their masters and they must write it well and  it doesn’t matter if they don’t have research proposal  but the former and the latter one are important and matter a lot for PhD scholar.

When you do so, click next and it will further take you to the next page of “Application Details”. And this time it is nothing but to tick either of them if you possess or hold any distinction otherwise unchecked to them and move to the last part of the undertaking by clicking next.

• Undertaking & Submission of Application

So in the end you have reached to the Undertaking, the last part of the application. You have to enter deposit slip number which you paid through draft of 500 in any branch of HBL bank with account no 123456789101112. You need to upload this same deposit slip in the document portion by taking snapshot and don’t forget to check the undertaking.You must review your application and once you have reviewed then simply submit it.
